Place and cause of death: at home surrounded by her family of natural causes

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday Feb. 3 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

To celebrate June's life friends may visit from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Behr's Funeral Home, 1491 Main St.

There will be a parish wake service said at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Behr's.

June was born on February 14, 1929, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of William and Marvel (Lippstock) Oglesby.

June attended school at Holy Ghost. June married Vincent E. Owens on February 14, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1998. June was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and made quilts for all of her family. She was a fantastic baker and there was always fresh cookies. She loved her family and never wanted to miss a visit from anyone. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

June is survived by 4 sons Dr. James (Michelle) Owens, Tulsa, OK
Steve (Jean) Owens, Dubuque
Randy (Sharon) Owens, Cedar Falls, IA
Joel Owens, Dubuque
10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren
2 sisters: Ruth Apel, Dubuque, IA
Rita (John) Lesch, Bloomington, MN
2 brothers: Ronald (Marlene) Oglesby, Bernard, IA
James (Nancy) Oglesby, Cuba City, WI

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vincent, a sister, Jeanette Dutka, 2 brothers-in-law, Cletus Apel and John (Mary) Owens

A June A. Owens memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her "family" next door, Mark & Mary Gilligan for watching over June for the last several years.
