Place and cause of death: Finley Hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Resurrection Church, 4300 Asbury Rd.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery

To celebrate Francis' life, friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Behr's Funeral Home. There will be a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Behr Funeral Home.

Francis was born June 1, 1921 in Luxemburg, IA, son of Joseph F. And Catherine P. (Klein) Heiderscheit

Frank attended school in Rickardsville. He married Mildred F. Duster on January 5, 1944 at St. Joseph's Church in Rickardsville. Frank farmed until March of 1947 when he began working for John Deere. He retired from John Deere in 1983. Frank was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Francis Court #774, St. Joseph's in Rickardsville and of Resurrection Church. He and Mildred enjoyed their garden, if it had a root it was in the garden. He had a green thumb and could grow about anything. Frank enjoyed doing craft work and made many crafts for the church festivals. He was a sports fan, especially following Wahlert basketball from his front row seat and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Frank was a hard worker and always had something going on somewhere. He enjoyed his projects around the house and helping his family and kids.

Frank is survived by his wife: Mildred Heiderscheit, Dubuque
2 daughters: Rose Marie (Wayne) Small, Dubuque
Pauline (Norlyn) Michel, East Moline, IL
a son: Mark (Karen) Heiderscheit, Dubuque
a grandson: Tim Heiderscheit, Dubuque/Iowa City
a brother: Dan (Doris) Heiderscheit, Denver, Co

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald in infancy, 3 brothers: Joseph, James and Allen Heiderscheit, a sister: Germaine Stoffel

In lieu of flowers donations may be made for masses in his name.
