Frances passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family of natural causes.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Behr's Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street.
Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery
To celebrate Frances' life friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Behr's Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street.
Frances Hadley was born on August 26, 1919, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Owen and Jesse (Carr) Reynolds.
Frances married Myron G. Hadley on August 26, 1936, in Galena, IL. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1974. Frances was employed at the Battery Factory for 20 years, Klauer Manufacturing for 15 years and lastly at Venture for 2 ½ years until her retirement. She was a very hard worker. When she was 68 years old she went back to school and earned her high school diploma. She was a former member of the Eagles Club Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed putting together puzzles and doing embroidery work. She enjoyed baking and made the greatest apple pies ever and homemade applesauce for her special grandson. She was a remarkable woman known for her strength and independence.
Frances is survived by 2 daughters: Jane (Melvin) Ward, Mission, Texas
Linda Wagner, Mission, Texas
8 grandchildren: Rick (Laure) Ward, Elizabeth Wagner, John (Rose) Hadley, Jeff Hadley, Wanda (Terry) McDowell, Lori Hadley, Amy Hadley, Penny (Willy) Goodman

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Myron, a son John Hadley, a sister Charlotte Rustad and 4 brothers Leslie, Don, Kenneth and Vince Reynolds, a sister-in-law Lavon Reynolds
A Frances V. Hadley memorial fund has been established.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Dubuque for their loving care and concern for Frances.
