Date and place of birth: Louis was born Dec. 27, 1923 in Cascade, Iowa-
Son of William and Loretta (Finn) Donahue.

Brief personal information:

Louie served with the US Army during World War II. He survived the Normandy Invasion
and the Battle of the Bulge.

Louie was formerly employed at New Melleray Monastery for 12 years where he cared for their horses and worked with the cattle.

Louie was a devoted member of St. Raphael's Cathedral. His faith was very important to
Louie and he attended daily Mass.
