Jill D. Stowers, age 45, of 385 East 21st St., passed away at 3:38 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at home peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. with Pastor Larry Stark officiating. To celebrate Jill's life friends may visit from 1:00 to 3:00 on Sunday at Behr Funeral Home.
Jill was born on May 17, 1967, in Dubuque, Iowa- one of nine children of the Elzie Ray " Sarge" and Venita "Darlene" (Miller) Stowers family.
Jill was well known and loved by her many friends and family and by those she met as a
waitress at Tony Roma's and while bartending at the 3100 Club.
Jill was the primary caretaker for her mother and helped to raise her granddaughter, EzrahLynn.
She loved taking care of her dogs and collecting angels. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Jill enjoyed family trips and picnics and going to the waterpark in Waterloo.
She fought like a warrior in her battle against cancer and was an inspiration to her family and friends.

her granddaughter, EzrahLynn Stowers, both of Dubuque

Jill was preceded in death by her parents.
A Jill D. Stowers memorial fund has been established in lieu of flowers.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of Dubuque for their care and concern for Jill and the family.
