Ed graduated from the Lansing, Iowa High School and then he served in the US Army during the
Viet Nam War. Ed was formerly employed at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Dubuque
and was lastly employed at the John Deere Dubuque Works.
Ed loved the outdoors and took his dogs on long walks everyday. He was interested in the cowboy life and he loved horses and reading about the West.
