Veronica M. Voss, age 88, of Tiffin, IA, formerly of Dubuque, was called home peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, surrounded by her loving family. To honor Veronica's life, funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at St. Patrick's Church, 1425 Iowa Street, with Rev. Edmund Dunn officiating. To celebrate Veronica's life, family and friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Veronica was born on February 8, 1929, in Bellevue, Iowa, daughter of Arion and Mary (Heiar) Lampe.

After Veronica graduated from high school, she went on to proudly attend the Dubuque Beauty Academy. She would eventually develop her skills and open her own salon, Stylistic Beauty Shop, where she would happily serve her committed clientele for over 35 years. Even after retirement, Veronica would continue to assist some of her favorite friends she'd made over the years right in their own homes. Veronica was united in marriage to her true sweetheart, Richard Voss, on July 10, 1972, at St. Patrick's Church in Dubuque. Veronica and Richard would not only enjoy all the quality time they would be blessed with together within the confines of their own home, but they would also spend many years traveling around the world seeing all the wonders of God's creation while hand in hand. Although she and Richard never had children of their own, Veronica absolutely loved children, and any opportunity to get in some quality babysitting time for family members was always a joy she fully embraced. Veronica was also naturally talented in the kitchen, and many fond memories will remain of the delicious meals, and hours of friendly fellowship, which occurred so frequently around Veronica's table. Sadly, Veronica has played her last spirited game of cards, and tended to her final flower and vegetable gardens here on earth; but thankfully we'll cherish all of the beautiful memories she leaves behind until we are all reunited once again.

Those left to cherish Veronica's memory include

her loving husband of 45 years,
Richard Voss, Tiffin, IA;

her sisters-in-law,
Marcella Lampe, Key West, IA,
Jane Lampe, Dubuque, IA
and Katie Lampe, Bettendorf, IA;

her nephew and special Godchild,
Tom Lampe, Jr., Iowa City, IA;

and numerous nieces and nephews.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers, Herbert Lampe, Cy (Kay) Lampe, Thomas Lampe, Dr. A.E. Lampe and Alfred (Bernice) Lampe.

A Veronica M. Voss memorial fund has been established, which will be distributed among her favorite charities.

Veronica's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the University of Iowa for all of the kind, compassionate and professional care they provided to Veronica and her family.
