Dove Emblem

James Albert Baird III, infant son of Dubuque, Iowa, was called home peacefully to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior at 12:04 p.m., on Monday, February 13, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN, surrounded by his adoring family. To honor James' life, funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, February 20, 2017, at St. Raphael's Cathedral, 231 Bluff Street, with Rev. Alan J. Dietzenbach officiating. To celebrate James' life, family and friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

James was born on February 7, 2017, in Rochester, MN, son of James and Elizabeth (Walsh) Baird II.

Although James would only get to spend 6 days with his family here on earth, he has undeniably left a permanent and positive imprint on all whom love him. His little hands and beautiful face will always hold a hallowed spot in our minds and although we will be physically separated for some time, we will continue to religiously nurture our spiritual and emotional bonds on a daily basis. The pain, confusion and sorrow are almost more than we can bear today, but we trust that our Lord has a plan in everything and we will patiently allow time and His mercy to slowly heal our broken hearts. James' arrival was early, and his stay was brief, but we all know that we have a most precious angel now watching over us until we too are called home and get to finally see James again in his full and perfect glory.

Those left to cherish James' memory include

his loving parents,
James and Elizabeth Baird II, Dubuque, IA;

his grandparents,
James (Suzanne) Baird, Dubuque, IA,
Donna Walsh, Dubuque, IA
and Robert Walsh, Spring Hill, FL;

his great-grandparents;

his aunts and uncles,

Josephine Walsh (James' Godmother), Spring Hill, FL,
Hannah (Nicholas) Alaimo, Spring Hill, FL,

and Luke Walsh, Spring Hill, FL;

and several great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

A James Albert Baird III memorial fund has been established.

James' family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Mary's Hospital for all of their kindness and compassionate understanding.
