Condolence & Memory Journal

We're very sorry that due to illness we will not be able to come to say goodbye to Marion. That said Jill was able to have a long phone visit with Marion last Friday and is so thankful for that. She was as delightful as always.

Marion and Tom lived next to us in Galena for many years. Their beautiful yard extended on two sides of our property. It was like having a park around us and they generously always let our children and their friends play in their yard as well as ours. They shared plants from their garden with our son and helped start a lifelong love of plants for him. When he grew up and became involved in archaeology they allowed his little sister to play archaeologist by bringing her small wheelbarrow over to surface collect artifacts all over their yard.

Our children received much nurturing from them. But so did we Marion was always willing to take time to listen to our problems, give advice, offer help and share a laugh. She was always ready to help any neighbor on our block and was much loved by the whole neighborhood. What a great lady! We will remember her always with love.

Our condolences to all her family,
Jill and Bill MillhouseG

My Aunt Marion had a wonderful sense of humor. She is going to be missed by me and others. I wish I had that chance to see her once more before she passed as she did everything with Gusto and a love of life! She was very strong in her faith and beliefs which made her extremely unique and enjoyable to around. I will memory her always and miss her greatly!
